About Us - SALTY

About Us

OIIII TUDO BEM? 🇧🇷💚
I’m Marine, the founder of Salty Swim. I’ve worked for a long time in the fashion industry as a project manager for major fashion houses in Paris. Personally, and as a consumer, I’ve often been frustrated not finding good quality swimwear that is well-cut and flattering. The first time I went on vacation to Rio de Janeiro with friends, I fell in love with the Carioca lifestyle ☀️. The girls on the beach are beautiful, confident, and radiant. Around the beaches, there are swimwear vendors everywhere! And the bikinis are beautiful, with vibrant colors, double-lined, just perfect! The real “Brazilian bikini”. I bought tons of them before heading back to France. Back home, after some serious reflection, I ended my work contract and started designing. I returned to Brazil to find a manufacturer who could join me in this crazy project: I wanted to create a responsible swimwear brand and help girls around the world discover and afford the magnificent work and expertise of Brazilians in this field. After many meetings, I started working with a small company that prints, cuts, and assembles everything in Brazil, along with other small Brazilian partner companies. I was thrilled. The venture might have seemed risky, but it was a clear choice for me: we truly want to go against the tide of fast fashion, where buying cheap, low-quality products often comes at the expense of underpaid, mistreated workers, mediocre materials, and a lack of eco-friendliness. By buying Salty Swim, you support a creation made with passion, well-paid Brazilian family businesses, and packaging made in the European Union.
Our Commitment
Our bikinis are produced in Brazil by small businesses, ensuring high quality and ethical production. Each piece features vibrant colors, premium materials, and is fully lined. From the start, we’ve been committed to minimizing our environmental impact. We have transitioned our packaging to recycled plastics and innovative, compostable materials, and continue to seek out eco-friendly alternatives in our production processes. Additionally, all our packaging is made in France, ensuring top quality while supporting local industries. We take pride in using high-quality materials for our bikinis, including original and biodegradable Lycra. Our main fabric supplier is Oeko-Tex® 100 – Class I certified, guaranteeing that our fabrics are free from harmful substances and offer UV protection. Every piece is 100% made in Brazil.
